An Artist's Journey
"To see a World in a Grain of Sand, and Heaven in a Wildflower..." - William Blake
All my life I’ve wanted to be a painter. Try as I might though, all my paintings are still essentially drawings. The focal point of my art education was drawing, and that discipline shows itself in my work now, years after school.
With drawing as the foundation of my work, I then work in vibrant color schemes over the top. I love working in complimentary colors, as well as working in a color scheme tinted by one hue overall.
The vibrant palette is an outward expression of my inward energy. I am a do-er, mover, and a shaker. It’s been said of me before, that I make things “tick” – I believe this inward buzz of energy comes through in my work and speaks to the viewer of enthusiasm, positivity, and perhaps a little bit of daydream.
This site is little bit of space for me to share my artistic journey with friends. The Gallery is fine art based, works by myself. The blog....as I get it up and going, is meant to be like a journal to help me through the creative process.
